General Publication Rules and Requirements

1. The manuscript must fall within the journal’s aims, scope, and areas of specialization.
2. The manuscript must demonstrate originality, novelty, innovation, and a substantive contribution to the relevant field of study and to scholarly knowledge.
3. The manuscript must adhere to established principles, standards, and methodologies of rigorous academic research.
4. The manuscript must not have been previously published, nor may it be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
5. The manuscript must not be submitted in substantially the same form as a Master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation, unless explicitly permitted by the journal’s policy and appropriately disclosed by the author(s).
6. The journal reserves the right to reject any submitted manuscript without being required to provide reasons for its decision.

Specific Publication Rules and Requirements

1. Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the journal’s approved manuscript template and comply with all formatting requirements specified therein, including font type and size, margins, tables, figures, citation style, and reference formatting. Compliance with the approved template is a prerequisite for the initial consideration of a manuscript and for proceeding with the peer-review and publication processes. The journal reserves the right to return a manuscript to the author(s) for completion of technical and formatting requirements before sending it for peer review.(Research Article Templates)
2. Manuscripts must be formatted on A4-size pages and must not exceed 8,000 words, including the Arabic and English abstracts and the reference list. Manuscripts in Islamic Studies and Arabic Language disciplines may contain up to 12,000 words.
3. Page margins must be 2.54 cm  on all sides. Authors must also comply with the line-spacing and formatting requirements specified in the journal’s official template.
4. Each manuscript must include two abstracts: one in Arabic and one in English. Each abstract must not exceed 250 words.
5. Each Arabic and English abstract must be followed by no more than five keywords that do not appear in the manuscript title. The keywords should accurately represent the main subject areas addressed in the manuscript and facilitate indexing and information retrieval.
6. Authors must use the font types and sizes specified in the journal’s official template for the relevant discipline. The formatting of the template must not be altered unless necessary and with the prior approval of the Editorial Board.
7. Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.) must be used throughout the manuscript unless the conventions of the relevant discipline require otherwise.
8. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively. Their titles and sources must be presented in accordance with the journal’s official template. All tables and figures must be clear and legible.
9. Page numbers must appear at the bottom center of each page.
10. Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform using the approved templates and file formats. Authors must upload the following versions:

• Manuscript with author information: one Microsoft Word version and one PDF version.
• Anonymized manuscript for peer review: one Microsoft Word version and one PDF version.

11. The anonymized manuscript submitted for peer review must not contain authors’ names, institutional affiliations, contact details, ORCID iDs, acknowledgments, or any other information that could reveal the identity of the author(s).
12. The manuscript title, name(s) of the author(s), academic discipline, academic rank, institutional affiliation, country, and correspondence details must be provided on a separate title page in both Arabic and English. The manuscript itself must begin on a new page containing only the manuscript title, followed by the full text of the manuscript.
13. The name(s) of the author(s) must not appear in the main text, footnotes, endnotes, or reference list, either explicitly or through any information that could reveal their identity. Where self-reference is necessary during the anonymized peer-review process, neutral expressions such as “the author” or “the authors” should be used.
14. Authors must comply with established principles of research and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts will be subject to similarity and plagiarism screening in accordance with the journal’s policies.
15. Manuscripts in the social sciences, education, and administrative sciences must follow the latest edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), in accordance with the journal’s approved guidelines.(APA 7th Edition Guide)
16. Manuscripts in Islamic Studies and Arabic Language disciplines must follow the Chicago citation and referencing style, in accordance with the journal’s approved guidelines.(Citation Guide for Islamic Studies and Arabic Language Disciplines)
17. Authors must provide Romanized versions of references to articles published in Arabic-language journals that appear in the Arabic reference list. The original Arabic references must remain in the Arabic reference list, and their Romanization must follow the journal’s approved guidelines.(Guide to English Rendering and Romanization of Arabic References)
18. A brief biographical note must be provided for each contributing author and placed at the end of the manuscript, before the reference list. Each biography must not exceed 100 words and should include the author’s name, department, college/faculty, university, email address, nationality, highest academic degree, and the name of the institution from which the degree was obtained. It should also briefly describe the author’s research activities and scholarly interests. Where applicable, the author’s ORCID iD and/or personal academic webpage should be included at the end of the biography.
19. Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication, publication rights shall be transferred to the journal in accordance with the journal’s applicable copyright policy. The manuscript may not subsequently be published, in whole or in part, through any other print or electronic publication outlet without prior written permission from the Editor-in-Chief.
20. The views and opinions expressed in published articles are solely those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies of the journal.
